I recently moved to SA from Utah, where fast-casual fresh-mex restaurants are abundant. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find INauthentic Mexican food before I got here. In particular, I searched for months in vain to find a good cilantro lime ranch dressing and good sweet pork the way they all do it in Utah. Fortunately, Habanero's does an adequate job of replicating these and saves me hours of making it at home. The downsides are that it still isn't quite the same, especially the sweet pork, and the quality is inconsistent. Some days it is amazing, others not so much. Either way, I'm glad it is there. My search for great restaurants of a similar vein (Chipotle is woefully inadequate) continues, but I'll definitely continue eating here.
Great selections & Friendly staff.. They'll serve bowls as options for the carb Friendly with free coffee in the morning!
Love this build your own burrito place. The addition of a full bar was a great idea.
The food is great. Customer service is awesome. Totally worth going to.
Anyone know why they closed both locations?I know the 1000 oaks location went for a while without management. But was still holding the same amount of business.
My boyfriend loves this place! I think of it sort of like a local Freebirds. They have big burritos which you can fill with several types of meat including chicken, steak, and pork. They have different tortillas to choose from. They also serve nachos, quesadillas, etc. They have bottled sodas or fountain drinks. They also have alcohol and serve a gigantic looking margarita thing. It looks huge! They have some beers to choose from as well. The service was good. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Will definitely be back!
Delicious food, friendly staff, vibrant art, great music and very reasonable prices. We'll be back!
Best Nachos in SA. Cheap and quick and damn good food. They always change their gloves because I'm gluten-free and I've never gotten sick in all the years I've come here. Their burritos are huge and I bring my gluten eating friend here to try them.
Margaritas are way overrated and definitely overpriced for what you get. Food was ok. Best thing about my first and last time there was their music choice. 👎🏼👎🏼
This place has delicious great food and I’m making this one of my regular to go places.
I absolutely love Habanero's Grill this place rocks! The burritos are the best in town! Great margaritas and a nice outdoor patio area!
I think this place has the best burritos in town. There ingredients are excellent and the steak fajitas are very tasty. The service is great too.
The food is really good and fresh. It's evolved into more than just a burrito place.
Awesome place
Good food and good service. Their Tortilla's are made fresh and hot. Good selection of toppings. Nice outside patio.
The burritos are huge and very tasty as well as the quesadillas. Prices are a little high but you will forget the price when you take a nice bite into your food.
Wow!! This place is delicious. Employees are always attentive. I will be back!!
Very nice people, great food and drinks
Had the worse experience at this location @11:45am it's taco Tuesday and the lady that served me was under portioning the food . she told me what do expect if I'm only paying 6.99 and if she had a problem she should have told me there would be extra charge but she didn't. She was also doing the tortillas shapeless even though they have a Machine that should make them pretty round and I'm not exaggerating. I should have recorded her. I try to complain about her but she was in charge. She said if I had a problem I should call Juan top manager. I did call and I hope they teach the lady not to be rude to their customers because after that I will never come back to this place.
Fresh made tortillas was all I needed to know. Fantastic tex mex.
You know a burrito is going to be good when its too full to be rolled, and the aroma from the grill invades nostriles when the door swings open. They were kind enough to return my misplaced wallet the next day too. Five starts.
The experience here is always good. I have been getting overcharged on my tips this past couple of months, so I finally brought it to the managers attention after the 4th time. I was just wanting my $5 back, but Luth went above and beyond and more than compensated me for my money and hassle. Thank you Luth. This place has always been better than the "other" burrito places. Their customer service has gone above and beyond this time and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a good burrito with a friendly smile. Thank you guys!!
Food is decent and the people at nice.
Fresh, made-to-order burritos, bowls, and more. They smoke their own brisket meat on the patio and slow-cook their vegetables to perfection. Excellent amount of food for the price. Habanero's has been in business for many years and it's easy to taste why!
I loved this place. Was sad when the original owner sold it, and now they have shut it down. Hate it when that happens.
Good food and decent prices for drinks. Outside dining is great
Fresh made to order tortillas. Good salsas and cheese caso
Better selection than the same ol' Chipotle. Great service from these guys. Keep it up
Love this place. Love it. Great food and atmosphere. You can make a burrito the way you like it. Love the sweet pork and spicy meat. Nachos are even better with the added touch queso. Margaritas are awesome.
Fish tacos were amazing.
Great burritos with lots of flavor and two dollar beers at happy hour. Sopadillas were great too.
I would have given this place five stars. I give the food five stars. Excellent chicken/beef fajita salads and sauces. However, the pop/rap music ruins the ambience and atmosphere of the restaurant. They also played country music. This is not what I'd expect from a Mexican Grill restaurant. I still come back to eat their fajitas and salad again. Hopefully the music will be different.
Great food. It's a great lunch stop. The tortillas are made to order. The nachos are great for a noon day fill up meal.
Food was cold and looks like it was sitting for a while, all 3 tortillas had holes in them,an employee rolled my burrito, took my cash, and kept helping roll food WITHOUT CHANGING HIS GLOVES! If you have a rewards card there system is always down,so they can't add your points. The quality of this place used to be excellent, now I think that I need to find a new burrito place, more hygienic and fresh :(
Great food, drinks, atmosphere and friendly people!
Good flavors. Plus nice smoky aroma in the air outside makes it a nice experience. Nice to eat outside. Inside is very colorful and decorated in a fun way.I added a star. Date today is 2017.07.23 Comparable to freebirds burrito, but much tastier and we always leave satisfied. I feel you'll get your money's worth then freebirds. This is a family favorite of ours. Also the staff was very nice to us. I forot his name but the older Hispanic man is very kind and friendly.
The best burrito bar in town. Try the nachos.
I hated this place should of gone to taco cabana cheaper and has a menu with lots more then burritos and way better tasteing food nasty nasty nasty
Atmosphere is great. Guy behind the couldn't hear my order and the cilantro rice was WAY undercooked.
Excellent, the sweet pork was killer, the queso was killer, corn was killer. Will definately come back. The thing i loved was that they actually grilled the tortillas instad of just throwing them on to heat it up.
This is one of the best burrito places in town. It blows Chipotle and Freebirds out of the water. There are a ton of tortilla and filling options. Be sure to get the honey jalapeño salsa.
This place is awesome! Fresh hand made tortillas, the Sweet pork is a good choice. This is what chipotle would be if it was made with love. I think they have a free queso deal if you check in on Facebook!
Food is good - they are trying to be like Free Birds - a little pricey for what you get -
Place is fantastic. Best burritos in town, hands down.
Huge Hab salad... yummy. Country music being played.
Margaritas are not worth the money! Basically just sugar water, no alcohol. The food is still good under this management.
I had been going here almost weekly since the place opened in ~1997. The food was usually great, and the queso was the best in town. The mango salsa on Saturdays was my favorite. Then about a year and a half ago (maybe longer now) The owner took on some partners to help expand to more stores and everything fell apart. The rice and beans changed (they said they changed so they no longer used chicken stock when cooking the rice, so they could offer true vegetarian options.) The long time staff started changing over night and none of the old familiar faces were around any more. The food became "meh." We still go back once every few months, but it is no longer a place that I recommend or crave. The queso is still good, but even the chip supplier changed and they aren't as good as they used to be.
Great food good times nice patio seeting
